GLOW UP

Where to install motion sensor lighting to elevate your home?

Motion sensor lighting can make your life easier. It’s perfect for those times you need a light but your hands are occupied. It also offers safety and way finding. Sensors also turn on and off automatically, so you’ll save energy and never again worry about forgetting to flip the switch. So here are few places in your home that Motion Sensor Lights would be GREAT!

Foyer / Entryway

One of the times our hands are most full, or we’re most distracted, is as we enter or leave our homes. Perhaps you’re running late and forget to hit the lights. Or maybe you’re coming home with work and groceries.

When you’re overloaded, lights are understandably not a priority. By installing motion sensor lighting, you don’t need to shuffle what you’re carrying to find the switch.

Stairs & Halls

In many homes, stairways and halls are dark and shadowed. Even if you’re fortunate enough to have daylighting in these areas, nighttime can be a challenge.

While overhead lighting is an option, instead consider motion sensor rope lighting or strategic spotlighting. This focuses the light on the path you’re taking through your home.

Powder Room

The powder room often isn’t used for as long as full bathrooms with tubs or showers. Of course, you also don’t want guests to be left in the dark. To prevent such a possibility from happening, look for motion sensor lighting that allows you to set the time delay before the light will shut off due to inactivity in the room.

Closets & Deep Cabinets

Wouldn’t it be nice to see what you’re taking from the closet or deep within a drawer? Adding light to cabinets and closets may even help you to stay more organised, making selections doubly easy.

Because the sensors do turn the lights out when there’s no activity, Motion Sensor Lights are not ideal for every space and function. But there are some areas in your home that are great spots to start with testing it out.
